All personal belongings, valuables, and sensitive items must be removed from the vehicle prior to the appointment.
We are not responsible for:

Lost, stolen, or damaged items left inside the vehicle
Damage to electronics, documents, or personal property left in the vehicle

Any items remaining may limit our ability to fully clean certain areas.

4. Service Limitations & Results

Complete removal of all stains, odors, pet hair, or contaminants
Perfection in heavily soiled or neglected vehicles

5. Cancellation & No-Show Policy

Please provide at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling.

6. Payment Terms
Payment is due immediately upon completion of services. We currently accept cash, PayPal and checks.
A $10 fee is automatically applied onto payments not received within 24 hours of the service and/or all mailed payments.

7. Right to Refuse or Stop Service
We reserve the right to refuse or discontinue service if a vehicle is deemed unsafe, excessively unsanitary, or poses a health risk.

8. Weather & Scheduling
Appointments may be rescheduled due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances. We will communicate any changes as soon as possible.

9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for:

Pre-existing damage
Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
Damage related to previously compromised surfaces or materials

Any liability, if proven, is limited to the total cost of the service performed.

10. Hazardous Materials & Biohazards
We do not handle or come into contact with illegal substances, drugs, or biohazardous materials (including but not limited to bodily fluids such as blood, urine, vomit, or feces).

Vehicles containing such materials must be disclosed prior to the appointment. We reserve the right to refuse or discontinue service if these conditions are present. Additional fees or specialized services may be required for proper cleaning.

11. Service Inspection & Completion
Customers are encouraged to inspect the vehicle upon completion of service. If dissatisfied, customers must notify us within 24 hours.
We may offer a touch-up at our discretion for reasonable concerns related to the original scope of work
Refunds are not guaranteed and are evaluated on a case-by-case basis.

12. Photo & Video Documentation

All images and videos taken by Cardinal Auto Detailing remain the property of the business and may be used for marketing, advertising, and training purposes unless the customer explicitly opts out prior to service.

13. Pricing, Condition Adjustments & Additional Fees

Final pricing may increase if the vehicle is significantly more soiled than described at booking
Heavy pet hair, mold, sap, smoke odor, sand, or excessive trash may require additional labor and incur extra charges
Customer approval will be requested before proceeding with additional charges whenever possible.

14. Engine Bay, Electrical & Mechanical Disclaimer

Customers acknowledge that engine bay cleaning and interior electronics cleaning carry inherent risk
We are not responsible for electrical malfunctions, battery issues, sensor failures, or mechanical problems that may occur after cleaning
Any pre-existing leaks or exposed wiring must be disclosed before service

15. Access, Water, Electricity & Working Conditions

Customers must provide safe access to the vehicle
Adequate space must be available to perform services safely
Access to water and/or electricity may be required for certain services unless otherwise agreed
If conditions are unsafe or unsuitable, service may be rescheduled or canceled

16. Chargebacks & Payment Disputes

By booking services, customers agree not to initiate chargebacks for completed services without first attempting to resolve concerns directly with us
Fraudulent or unjustified chargebacks may result in collection efforts for unpaid balances and legal fees, where permitted by law

17. Ceramic Coating – Warranty & Performance Limitations

Ceramic coating services are a semi-permanent protective application, and results may vary depending on vehicle condition, paint quality, and environmental exposure. We do not guarantee scratch resistance, swirl mark prevention, or complete protection from environmental damage.

Product manufacturers provide any stated durability or lifespan estimates, and are not guaranteed by Cardinal Auto Detailing.

18. Paint Correction – No Perfection Guarantee

Paint correction is a cosmetic enhancement process intended to improve the appearance of a vehicle’s paint by reducing visible defects such as swirl marks, light scratches, and oxidation.

We do not guarantee a flawless, defect-free, or “like-new” finish. Some imperfections may remain due to paint depth limitations, prior bodywork, resprays, clear coat failure, or manufacturer paint inconsistencies.

Certain defects may only be reduced, not fully removed, and attempting further correction may risk damage to the clear coat. All services are performed within safe correction limits determined at our discretion.

19. Odor Removal – Smoke, Mold & Deep Contamination Limitation

Odor removal services are not guaranteed to permanently eliminate all odors. Results vary based on the source, severity, and duration of contamination.

In some cases, odors may temporarily reduce but return due to environmental conditions or hidden contamination. Severe cases may require multiple treatments or may be deemed non-serviceable.

We are not responsible for lingering or recurring odors after treatment.

20. Winter Salt, Sand & Deep Interior Contamination Disclaimer

Winter detailing services involving road salt, sand, slush, and heavy moisture buildup are subject to limitations based on vehicle condition and exposure level.

Salt and mineral deposits may permanently stain carpets, mats, and fabric surfaces, and may continue to resurface after cleaning due to deep absorption into materials.

Heavily compacted salt, frozen debris, or prolonged exposure to moisture may require multiple treatments and does not guarantee complete removal or restoration to the original condition.

We are not responsible for long-term staining, corrosion, or interior deterioration resulting from prior salt exposure or moisture damage.

21. Marine & Boat Detailing Disclaimer

Marine and boat detailing services involve unique environmental and material conditions. Results may vary depending on vessel age, oxidation level, gel coat condition, prior repairs, saltwater exposure, and environmental wear.

We do not guarantee complete restoration of faded, oxidized, stained, or weathered surfaces.

22. Gel Coat & Oxidation Limitation

Oxidized gel coat, faded finishes, and water staining may not be fully correctable. Aggressive polishing or compounding may improve appearance, but cannot restore severely deteriorated surfaces to like-new condition.

Certain defects, including deep oxidation, chalking, stress cracking, etching, and sun damage, may remain after service.

23. Marine Electronics & Water Intrusion Disclaimer

We are not responsible for electrical malfunctions, water intrusion, battery issues, speaker damage, navigation system failures, or pre-existing wiring problems discovered during or after service.

Customers must disclose any known leaks, electrical issues, or non-waterproof components prior to service.

24. Dock, Lift & Access Conditions

Customers are responsible for providing safe and legal access to the vessel, including dock, marina, lift, trailer, and shoreline access where applicable.

We reserve the right to refuse or discontinue service if conditions are unsafe due to weather, unstable footing, water conditions, electrical hazards, or inadequate workspace.

25. Trailer & Transport Disclaimer

We are not responsible for pre-existing trailer damage, rust, lighting issues, tire failures, winch failures, or mechanical defects identified during service.

26. Water Spotting & Hard Water Limitation

Hard water staining, mineral deposits, and water spotting may not be fully removable depending on severity and surface condition.

Some etched water spots may be permanent.

27. Marine Ceramic Coating Limitation

Marine ceramic coatings help protect surfaces but do not prevent oxidation, fading, saltwater corrosion, docking damage, or environmental wear.

Proper maintenance is required to maintain coating performance.

28. Environmental / Weather Exposure Clause

Due to continuous environmental exposure, including UV rays, moisture, algae, minerals, and weather conditions, no detailing service can permanently prevent future oxidation, staining, or deterioration.

29. Decals, Wraps & PPF Disclaimer

We are not responsible for lifting, peeling, bubbling, discoloration, or damage to vinyl wraps, decals, paint protection film (PPF), pinstriping, or aftermarket graphics due to age, poor installation, or weakened adhesive.

30. Chemical Sensitivity Disclaimer

Customers are responsible for informing us of known chemical sensitivities, allergies, or concerns related to cleaning products prior to service.

31. Drainage / Environmental Compliance

Customers are responsible for ensuring the service location complies with local drainage, HOA, marina, or environmental regulations regarding vehicle washing and runoff.

Travel Fee & Service Radius

We primarily service Wright, Meeker, Stearns, and Sherburne Counties. A travel fee may apply for locations outside of this standard service area. Travel fees are based on distance, time, and fuel costs and will be disclosed at the time of booking when applicable.

We reserve the right to limit scheduling based on route efficiency and appointment volume.

Governing Law and Severability

These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Minnesota. Any disputes shall be resolved in Minnesota state courts or small claims court where applicable.

These Terms & Conditions constitute the entire agreement between Cardinal Auto Detailing and the customer and supersede any prior verbal or written statements.
